IMPS

The IMPS (Internet Miniature Pincher Service) picnic was great. A little chilly and windy but the dogs loved it. It was Min Pins Gone Wild. Of course they kind of hung out by the food but they had a great time. The small dog off leash park in Longmont was perfect for them. My two are out cold as I write. Three hours of running loose will do that I guess. I should have them do that more often. Two wonderful little pins were adopted out and two more are still looking for homes. You can see them at minpinrescue.org. They always need foster homes and permanent homes to help out the King of Toys. All and all I think the kids, dogs and adults really had a good time. I think I could watch those little dogs run around all day long. Next up Fall Portraits in the Park

Summerset Fest

The Summerset Festival at Clement Park this weekend was really fun. A little windy and chilly but the sun was out the whole time. Jennifer taught Moxee how to pull her cart in only 5 days. Moxee seemed to really enjoy giving people rides and she liked having a job to do. Not bad for a rookie. The greyhound rescue was next to our booth and they always had dogs coming and going. A lot of Greyhounds are definitely in need of foster homes and permanent homes. There were also a lot of dog activities to learn about. Flyball, agility and the disc dogs. They were fun to watch. Echo and Ryo manned the booth but no pictures of either one. Echo had just been spay so she was laying low and Ryo didn't know what to do without her. He gets confused when he can't play with her and she is just as confused as to why she can't play with him. All in all it was a successful weekend and we met a lot of great people. Next weekend is the IMPS picnic. I can't wait.

DOCNA 2006

Thanks Katrina for hosting the DOCNA trial at Friendship Academy Agility Dogs in Peyton CO and inviting me to come and take the photo's. I had a really great time and the trial was really well organized and run. It was a blast. All the people were really nice and loved the photo's. That makes taking them all that much more fun. The Canine Athletes were incredible. Whether they were really experienced or beginners they all had a good time. The little dogs are a challenge since they are fast and they don't always have a lot of hang time but I will always remember Ted. I am not sure but I think Ted was a small pony disguised as a dog. He was huge. Congratulations to all the competitors and I hope to see you at another event soon. Happy running.
